Engine Group Names Lisa Weinstein CEO of Media

Distinguished Industry Veteran to Lead Engine Group's New Media Services Offering

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - May 19, 2016) -   Engine Group, the global marketing services network, today announced the appointment of 20-year media industry veteran Lisa Weinstein as CEO of Media. Reporting to Engine Group's Executive Chairman Terry Graunke and based in Chicago, Weinstein will be responsible for building and leading the network's global media services operating unit. The business will evolve through future acquisitions to deliver brand and performance-led media capabilities.

"Engine Group has a long heritage of helping brands succeed through content creation and consumer intelligence," said Graunke. "We are now adding the crucial component of digital distribution to better navigate the rapidly changing marketplace and deliver a seamless experience for our clients and their customers. Lisa's proven leadership and knowledge of media, data and technology will help to propel Engine, and our clients' business, forward."

Prior to joining Engine Group, Weinstein served as President of Global Digital, Data & Analytics, at Starcom MediaVest Group, where she was instrumental in pioneering new ways to leverage online, mobile, social and search. She created a data-driven agenda focused on precision marketing and new content distribution solutions built through partnerships, co-creation and acquisition. She also held various US and Global executive leadership roles over more than a decade within GroupM and Mindshare.

"The opportunity to build a modern media services solution in light of the fast pace of change in our ecosystem is what drew me to this role within Engine Group," said Weinstein. "The collaborative culture already provides best-in-class capability across marketing services disciplines. We will apply leading workflow, technology and data to deliver better consumer experiences and improved performance for a diverse set of customers including marketers, other agencies and publishers."

Over the course of her career, Weinstein has earned numerous recognitions, including induction into the American Advertising Federation's Hall of Achievement in 2012. She has also been recognized as an iMedia Top 25, a MediaWeek All Star, a Media Maven in Advertising Age, and lauded in both Advertising Age's and Crain's Chicago Business' 40 Under 40.

The launch of Engine Group's media services operating unit comes on the heels of the network's recent U.K. launch of content and entertainment marketing agency Trailer Park. The network also recently announced Moment Studio as a standalone content creation and distribution offering, the U.S. launch of sports marketing agency Synergy, as well as the expansion of digitally led creative agency Deep Focus to London and Los Angeles. The agency network is growing rapidly following its acquisition by Lake Capital in August 2014, with more than 2,000 employees across the U.S., U.K. and Asia.
