Engine USA Agencies Deep Focus and Noise Join Forces

Deep Focus Adds Leader in Marketing to Millennials, Enhancing Its Already Established Position as Digital-First Marketing Leader

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 12, 2014) - Engine Group announced that two of its primary US-based agencies, Deep Focus and Noise, will unite to become one of the most comprehensive digital and social media marketing agencies in the industry, effective immediately. The combined entity will be known as Deep Focus.

According to John Bernbach, President, Engine USA, "Merging the digital marketing prowess of Deep Focus with the youth and millennial marketing expertise of Noise is another step in fulfilling Engine's promise to provide clients with best-in-class communications expertise." Already a force in digital marketing, Deep Focus is a full-service marketing agency that works with brands to help them resonate with consumers whom increasingly live beyond the reach of advertising. Founded in 2002, Deep Focus was acquired by Engine Group in 2010, and serves numerous progressive brands as digital, social, and/or lead creative agency-of-record.

Noise was founded by Noah Kerner in 2005 as an agency with deep expertise in engaging millennial consumers and has grown to become a true leader in this space. Noise was acquired by Engine in 2010.

Schafer will remain CEO of the newly expanded Deep Focus, while Joe Kessler, currently CEO and President of Noise and the Intelligence Group, will become President of Deep Focus. The combined company will have a staff of more than 300, with offices in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Shanghai.

Deep Focus Chief Creative Officer Ken Kraemer and Noise Chief Marketing Officer Jamie Gutfreund will continue in their current roles at Deep Focus.
