Newly Established Advisory Board Names Former Senior Executives From AMS, American Medical Laboratories, Bacardi, BTG and EVEREN Securities

WASHINGTON, DC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 19, 2005 -- England & Company, a leading middle market investment banking firm based in Washington, DC, today announced the formation of an advisory board comprised of highly accomplished entrepreneurs and business leaders. The mission of the Advisory Board is to provide the firm's senior management team with strategic direction and insight into a wide array of business and industry-specific issues.

Advisory Board Members

Jack Bergstrom has over 30 years of management experience principally in healthcare services. In 1997, Mr. Bergstrom was a key member of the GTCR-backed management team that acquired American Medical Laboratories (AML). Under his leadership as Executive Vice President of Business Development, AML became the nation's third largest lab company growing to $300 million in sales. AML was purchased by Quest Diagnostics for $500 million in 2002.

Edward H. Bersoff, Ph.D. has more than 30 years of senior management experience and is currently Chairman of Greenwich Associates. Previously, Dr. Bersoff founded and served as Chairman and CEO of BTG, Inc., a provider of computer-based solutions to government and commercial clients. BTG was acquired by Titan Corporation for $142 million in 2001. He also has served as a Managing Director with Jefferies/Quarterdeck Investment Partners. Dr. Bersoff is a director of several public and private companies and universities (including New York University, the Virginia Commonwealth University and George Mason Foundation) and is Chairman of the INOVA Health System Health Care Services Board.

John S. Gallop has more than 18 years' experience in the capital markets. Currently, he is a Managing Director of Advisory Research, a $3.6 billion, Chicago-based, independent advisory firm. Previously, Mr. Gallop was the head of investment banking for EVEREN Securities (acquired by First Union in 1999) and was a Managing Director in the investment banking groups of Bear Stearns & Co. and First Union Securities.

Douglas G. Gibson is a Partner at Covington & Burling, a leading Washington, DC-based law firm. Previously, Mr. Gibson served as General Counsel for Bacardi Limited, a multinational consumer products company with approximately $3 billion in annual sales. While at Bacardi, Mr. Gibson oversaw the company's $2 billion acquisitions of the Dewar's Scotch Whisky and Bombay Gin brands, and managed the negotiation and implementation of the company's ventures in China and India.

Patrick W. Gross, currently Chairman of the Lovell Group, has more than 35 years of senior management experience. Mr. Gross was a founder and, from 1970 to 2001, a principal executive officer of American Management Systems (AMS) leading the company to more than $1 billion annual in revenue. Currently, Mr. Gross serves a director of several public and private companies, including Capital One Financial Corporation, Mobius Management Systems, Sarnoff Corporation, and Liquidity Services, Inc. He is Vice Chairman of the Council for Excellence in Government, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Technology Leadership Consortium, and Trustee Co-Chairman of the research and policy committee of the Committee for Economic Development.
