Enhanced Sage Virtual Terminal Gives SMBs a Central Hub for Managing the Payments Environment

Using Sage Virtual Terminal, Merchants Can Easily Process Card and Check Not Present Transactions, Swipe Cards for In-Person Transactions

MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwire - March 8, 2011) - Sage Payment Solutions, the payments division for Sage North America and a multinational payment processor to more than 155,000 small and midsized businesses (SMBs) and organizations, today announced recent enhancements for Sage Virtual Terminal, its Internet-based, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant payment processing business solution.

Accessible 24/7 for authorizing and managing payment transactions, Sage Virtual Terminal allows for credit and debit card and check processing, and also includes USB-connected card swipe capabilities so businesses can benefit from lower fees for card present transactions, as well as process transactions more quickly. Sage Virtual Terminal is Level 3 Processing capable, which is a requirement for government and business-to-business (B2B) companies that process corporate and purchasing cards. Unique features include an advanced recurring billing service and an integrated donation service for nonprofit and charitable organizations.

A business can input a transaction with just a customer name and credit card information, as well as do a quick search by name, account number, order number, amount, reference, or approval code. The free shopping cart within the product easily integrates with a merchants' web site.

Other features now built into Sage Virtual Terminal include:

  • More graphical and detailed overview of transaction history and payment type
  • New export options for reports
  • New import options for shopping cart products
