Chef Buffa, a graduate of the Instituto Alberghiero Carlo Porta and Alta Palato, oversees all culinary creations at The Mayflower's renowned Café Promenade and Lobby Court restaurants. He began his career in Milano's Osteria del Vecchio Canneto under the guidance of Massimo Baracca, who in 1991 opened Café Milano on Ocean Drive with Buffa as Executive Chef. In 2004, Buffa moved to New York where he served as Executive Chef at Viola in Brooklyn, the Two-Star Michilin Pepolino in TriBeCa and Salute Restorante in Midtown Manhattan, before opening Food Wine & Company in Bethesda, Maryland in 2009.
