Ensequence Secures $20 Million in New Funding

Peter Low Appointed President and CEO

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 18, 2009) - Ensequence, the interactive television company, today announced that it has secured an additional $20 million in funding. This investment of capital will allow Ensequence to continue leading the television industry in creating and deploying the most engaging and effective interactive television experiences.

Ensequence has also appointed Peter Low, formerly President and COO, to the position of President and CEO. Prior to Ensequence, Low spent 10 years as executive vice president of cable distribution and marketing for MTV and BET Networks. Dalen Harrison, former CEO of Ensequence, will remain on the board of directors and will continue to develop new business opportunities for the company.

"The latest round of funding allows us to build on our strong momentum, enabling us to continue offering programmers, distributors and advertisers the ability to provide the most compelling interactive television experiences available," Low said. "This funding represents an extreme vote of confidence in Ensequence in a very challenging funding environment."

Clay Mathile, CEO of CYMI Technologies and former CEO and owner of the Iams Company, led the latest round. Mr. Mathile has an exemplary entrepreneurial and executive track record and is an active investor in the technology industry. In 1999, the Mathile family sold Iams for $2.3 billion to international conglomerate Proctor & Gamble.

"Rarely have we seen a company make so much progress in an emerging market and since joining Ensequence two years ago, Peter has drawn on his experience to elevate the company into a market leader, built a strong management team and established a plan for sustainable growth," Mathile said. "Peter's familiarity with the cable industry makes him well-suited to lead Ensequence through its next stage of growth as it delivers on the promise of interactive television."

Ensequence enables programmers, advertisers, and distributors to make TV even more powerful and engaging. It eliminates the technical complexities of interactive television and allows customers to quickly and affordably deliver a high volume of compelling iTV experiences to the broadest possible audience on every distribution platform -- including cable, satellite, and IPTV.
