Enservio Presenting "Large Loss Contents Claims" at Regional PLRB Conference

Enservio VP Bill Stickler to Speak Nov. 18 in Providence, RI on Managing Complex Claims

NEEDHAM, MA--(Marketwired - Nov 12, 2014) - Enservio, Inc. today announced that Bill Stickler, Vice President of Field Claims for Enservio Service on Site, will present at the PLRB Regional Adjusters conference November 18-19 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, RI. Enservio will be on the expo floor in Booth #427. It will showcase software applications and services that span the entire value chain of contents claim processing -- from onsite inventory capture of non-restorable contents -- to transcription, appraisal, valuation, payment, replacement and predictive analytics that increase efficiencies and drive customer loyalty.

Stickler's session, titled, "Controlling Personal Lines Large Loss Contents Claims," will discuss strategies for managing large and complex property claims losses. Attendees will learn how to establish and verify accurate values for lost contents. Panelists will also share their own field experiences relating to making those tough calls on whether contents are best repaired or replaced entirely, given the particular claim scenario.

Says Bill Stickler, "We will also cover research methods which gather sufficient information -- aiding claims professionals in proceeding with a fair, accurate and defensible settlement."

"Controlling Personal Lines Large Loss Contents Claims" will be an interactive session where attendees are encouraged to participate as part of a shared learning environment. The session will wrap up with a discussion on fraud and ways to determine authenticity of high-value contents.

In April 2010, FEMA was deployed to aid in local response efforts when the Providence area received almost nine inches of rain, causing the Pawtuxet River to crest 21 feet, nearly 12 feet above flood stage, as reported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. "Nobody saw it coming and naturally homeowners had no flood insurance," said Stickler. "This points to how important it is for claims pros to be prepared for the worst, since trends show how severe flooding can strike anywhere."

The Enservio booth will display ContentsExpress™ software that enables adjusters to more easily collect and review insured inventories, receipts, and photos; adjust contents estimates; and issue contents settlement reports. Adjusters get immediate access to pricing data on millions of consumer items to arrive at the most accurate and consistently uniform valuations possible, driving an optimal settlement experience.
