Entelos Announces Expanded Hematology Collaboration With Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development

FOSTER CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 6, 2005 -- Entelos, Inc., the leader in biosimulation technologies for pharmaceutical research and development, announced today that Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C. (J&JPRD) has expanded its research collaboration in hematology. In this expanded effort, Entelos will investigate the effect of anti-anemia therapy on patients with different types of anemia, explore the impact of patient variability, and provide guidance on optimization of anemia clinical trials.

In January 2004, Entelos and J&JPRD agreed to collaborate in developing the Hematopoiesis PhysioLab® platform. The companies have applied this technology to a range of research objectives related to various projects at J&JPRD.

"Entelos is extremely pleased to announce the continuation and expansion of this research collaboration," stated James Karis, President and CEO of Entelos. "This extension demonstrates that Entelos technology is having a significant impact in supportive care."
