Enterprise Solutions Expert Joins Sitecore Team as VP Global Strategic Alliances

Microsoft Veteran to Accelerate Innovation and Growth With Strategic Partnerships

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - July 13, 2010) -  Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, has named Microsoft veteran Jean-Paul Gomes as the company's Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances. Gomes will be charged with enhancing and extending the company's partnerships with enterprise technology companies, outsourcing firms, systems integrators and service providers.

Gomes has spent the last ten years as Senior Product Manager in the Office Business Platform Marketing Group at Microsoft Corporation, responsible for SharePoint Web Content Management and Internet Business. Gomes was instrumental in growing the SharePoint business to $1B+, adding more than 4,600 partners and acquiring more than 17,000 customers. He has developed and led global campaigns and market-perception-shifting programs for SharePoint.

Previously, Gomes worked in the Aerospace industry on the technical development of the second generation of civilian supersonic aircrafts for the European consortium EADS. He holds a MS in Aerospace engineering from Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace and an MBA from the Toulouse Business School. He also holds an MS in Technology Management from the École Centrale Paris, where he won a government grant award for engineering and prototyping the first hybrid scooter.
