SHELBURNE, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - Oct. 7, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

Mark your calendars as two great upcoming seasons of arts programming will be presented to Shelburne residents and visitors at the Osprey Arts Centre.

The Osprey Arts Centre Association will receive funding totalling $20,000 ($10,000 for each fiscal year 2015-16 and 2016-17) through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for its annual arts programming.

Gerald Keddy, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Revenue and for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Member of Parliament (South Shore-St. Margaret's), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

With this funding, the Osprey Arts Centre Association will annually present over 20 performances featuring established and emerging professional artists from various Canadian provinces. The 2015-16 and 2016-17 season programming includes culturally diverse concerts, dance and theatre performances, and audience development and community outreach activities such as a dance residency, as well as activities intended for young people.
