SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 31, 2014) - [DEMO Conference] The DEMO Enterprise 2014 conference, being held April 3 at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco, will showcase an array of products which can help solve big problems for business. Among them are innovative solutions from 20 startup companies that are developing software to run on the SAP HANA® platform. Their solutions will be featured in the SAP® Startup Focus Pavilion at the conference.
The nearly two-dozen startups also have been invited to participate in a breakfast session at 7:30 a.m. with the DEMO CIO Council, a group of top chief information officers (CIOs) from companies such as Toyota, Harley-Davidson and DISH Network. In the breakfast session, the startups will present their solutions and receive strategic feedback from the council. The council also will select a winning project.
"The DEMO CIO Council's breakfast session will connect innovators with industry buyers from Fortune 500 companies," said Neal Silverman, DEMO's senior vice president and general manager. "It will connect forward-thinking CIOs with venture capitalists, startup entrepreneurs and other IT leaders in the evolving landscape of emerging technology."
The session is a unique opportunity for these entrepreneurs to connect with the buyer side of the enterprise computing industry. The DEMO CIO Council will receive insights into each company's venture and product development strategies, and provide feedback to presenters. Each presenter will deliver a 90-second pitch to the council. The winning project, to be determined by the DEMO CIO Council, will then present to all the conference attendees on the main DEMO Enterprise stage at 6:00 p.m., April 3.
"Building out a strong technology ecosystem is a top priority for CIOs," said Angela Yochem, CIO of BDP International and a member of the DEMO CIO Council. "The DEMO Enterprise conference is the perfect venue to make connections that both foster new technologies and improve major enterprise systems."
The 20 startup companies selected this year are: Approyo; Apptimyze; Centerity Systems; Chalet Tech; Convergence CT, Inc.; CoreMobile, Inc; Flutura Decision Sciences & Analytics; Funding Profiles; Liquid Analytics; MimosaSoft; Mobilistic Innovative Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; NextPrinciples; NexVisionIX; Precogs; Relevvant; SearchYourCloud, Inc; Solaborate; SynerScope B.V; VSSOD Corp; and Zementis.
