WALNUT CREEK, CA--(Marketwire - December 22, 2010) - enVie™ Interactive, a ground-breaking developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment, announced today that it has appointed a new president, Stacey Hirata, who is charged with driving and managing the company's growth, as well as overall tactical execution leading up to the launch of their first virtual world game -- VIE™: Virtual Island of Entertainment. VIE, which is set on a tropical island paradise, provides all adults with the opportunity to indulge in their desires in a fun and safe environment that is full of wonder, excitement and intrigue.

"VIE is truly unique to other virtual world games on the market today because of the level of design sophistication and elegance that it offers and the way in which it integrates a very cosmopolitan lifestyle into a compelling, interactive experience for the end user," stated Hirata. "I am extremely honored to have been named president, and one of the main goals that I have coming in is to explore new and innovative ways to elevate the user experience and social engagement features of the game and to help our guests easily and quickly connect with other like-minded individuals."

Hirata initially joined enVie Interactive as an outside marketing consultant and eventually transitioned into a permanent position as Vice President. Stacey has over 16 years of gaming industry experience for some of the biggest brands in gaming. Prior to working with enVie, she served as Vice President of Marketing/Brand Activation for RedOctane/Activision for the Guitar Hero franchise, where she was responsible for all aspects of the global brand management, public relations and creative services teams. She is credited with growing the business unit from $45 million gross revenue to $1.2 billion gross revenue in a fiscal year catapulting it to a "pop culture phenomenon" and the "fastest growing" franchise in video games.

"Stacey not only brings an impressive leadership and tactical skill set to the table, but also a fresh perspective on what female gamers are looking for from a virtual world game experience," stated enVie Co-Founder Philo Northrup, who recruited Ms. Hirata. "We are extremely happy to have her on board and are confident in her abilities to drive and grow this company."
