Environics Communications Adds Two New Clients to Sustainability & Clean Energy Practice

Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington and Water Design-Build Council Join Agency Roster

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - April 20, 2009) - Environics Communications has been hired by two new clients, the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington and the Water Design-Build Council.

Both new clients are hiring Environics to assist with public relations programs related to environmental initiatives, and will be handled by the agency's Sustainability & Clean Energy practice.

The Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington (AOBA) is the leading membership organization representing commercial and multi-family residential real estate in the Washington, D.C. area. AOBA members are owners or managers of 155.8 million square feet of commercial office space and more than 208,000 residential units in multi-family residential properties in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Environics will be assisting AOBA in developing and launching their "Go Green" initiative for resident managers and leasing professionals to talk to their residents about ways they can save on energy costs while helping the environment.

The Water Design-Build Council (WDBC) is a national nonprofit organization that seeks to advance the development and rehabilitation of municipal water and wastewater systems through the use of design-build services. WDBC works to define and disseminate best practices in their industry that facilitate a productive and collaborative relationship between service providers and local government officials. Environics is working with WDBC to highlight the critical need for repairs and improvements to the nation's water infrastructure, and to emphasize the rapid innovation, quality control and project completion that state and federal governments can achieve through the integration of design and construction in the design-build contracting model.
