SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2014) -
Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) ("Envision Solar," or the "Company"), the leading renewable energy Media, Branding and EV Charging product company, announced that its fully autonomous, fully mobile, fully renewable Electric Vehicle Charging station will be featured at SDG&E's Energy Showcase at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, Pavilion.
The EV ARC™ is a cost-effective, easy-to-install, standalone solar charging station that requires no foundation, no trenching, no building permit and no grid connection. Demonstrating its high degree of transportability the unit will be placed in service at the event with less than five minutes of set up time.
The SDG&E Energy Showcase is a platform designed to showcase the best energy saving technologies to Southern California businesses. There will be an expanded Electric Vehicle exhibit and the EV ARC™ will be the only solar powered EV charger on display.
"This is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the EV ARC to businesses who care about energy efficiency and EV infrastructure," said Desmond Wheatley, President and CEO of Envision Solar. "People who come to this event are looking for solutions for their sustainability and EV charging challenges and EV ARC offers the perfect solution for both. When we show EV ARC to the public we win customers and orders. We are looking forward to a busy day today."
Invented, engineered and manufactured in the United States, the EV ARC™ fits inside a standard parking space and generates approximately 16 kWhrs per day that are stored and ready for use in the 22 kWh on board battery storage. The system's clean solar electrical generation is enhanced by the patented EnvisionTrak™, which enables the solar array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a conventional fixed array.
According to Navigant Research the US is the number one market for EVs and the growth in charging infrastructure is forecast at 128% CAGR. Envision Solar has products that are ideally suited to solve many of the problems faced by those who hope to deploy EV charging infrastructure and they do so in a clean, green and sustainable manner.
