Envista Sales Double for Second Straight Year

Strong Customer Wins & Retention Continue to Bolster Company's Financial Strength

BEVERLY, MA--(Marketwire - February 28, 2011) - Envista Corporation, the world's leading provider of enterprise map-based coordination solutions for the public right-of-way (ROW), today announced record sales for 2010, up 100 percent over 2009. Fiscal year 2010 marks the second straight year in which the Company has doubled its bookings, with significant new customers added in Q4 2010, including Al Ain in United Arab Emirates, City of Santa Barbara, Calif., City of Birmingham, Ala., as well as significant renewals with NiSource, Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) and City of Colorado Springs, Colo. To date, more than 150,000 projects are now being managed globally by customers using the Envista Enterprise ROW Suite of coordination solutions.

Mark Prestipino, Envista's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Municipalities, utilities, universities, and government agencies around the world are increasingly recognizing that to manage the public right-of-way more proactively and cost-efficiently, all the stakeholders must communicate and coordinate more effectively. That is precisely what the Envista Enterprise ROW Suite enables them to do. We're demonstrating compelling savings in time and money for our customers, a significant benefit in today's economy. They recognize Envista as a smart investment, even in tough economic times, because of the nearly immediate financial benefits our solutions offer. With the savings realized through Envista, these customers are moving from being constrained to being creative -- redirecting the savings to projects that might otherwise not be funded. The savings can grow exponentially and the opportunities expand even further as more players in an ecosystem collaborate through the Envista map environment. The city of Baltimore, Md. is an excellent example; they, alone, project $900,000 in annual savings using the Envista Enterprise ROW Suite (Click here for Baltimore Case study). In addition to attracting new customers, we are also very pleased with the growth realized from existing customers adopting additional ROW solutions in our Enterprise Suite, which extends the value that they gain from Envista even further."

Envista's Enterprise Suite of map-based solutions enable innovation and proactive management of the public right-of-way to save time and money, enhance the safety of streets and roadways, and minimize environmental impact. In 2010, the Company released Envista R2 2010, a rich set of new products and features now formally bundled in a single suite: the Enterprise ROW Coordination Suite. The Enterprise ROW Coordination Suite enables users to geo-locate and manage on a dynamic web-based map all activities occurring in the public right of way, including projects, incidents, events and even permits. For example, this comprehensive suite of coordination solutions can display when and where the gas utility's repair work is being performed, public works' paving projects are occurring, the local university's homecoming parade route will run, the city's downtown street festival is happening -- all in one visually rich, map-based environment. Envista's patent-pending technology automatically compares all the data associated with such ROW activities so users can identify and resolve conflicts before they impact schedules, budgets and the public. The Suite can also link planned events and unplanned incidents to traffic management and publish selected map information, such as road closures and detours, to the public on the web.
