Enwave Energy Corporation: Energy Conservation

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 28, 2005) -

Corporations lead the way with renewable energy from Lake Ontario

In the wake of warnings from the IESO about the critical strain on Ontario's overburdened electricity infrastructure, Enwave Energy Corporation's customers stand out as leaders in our collective responsibility to curb consumption and conserve energy.

By choosing to connect to Enwave's environmentally friendly Deep Lake Water Cooling network, these corporations are displacing over 15MW of power at a time when Ontario citizens need power most.

Many more downtown office towers including the entire Queen's Park Complex will be joining this network in the near future to bring the total power displaced by the end of this year to over 25MW. When the system is fully sold-out, over 61MW of power will be displaced from the grid.

Enwave customers are proving that there is a better way to cool buildings.
Andrew McAllan, Senior Vice President, Oxford Properties Group says, "on days like today, Oxford is especially proud of its decision to connect to Enwave's Deep Lake Water Cooling system. We believe that all building owners have a responsibility to the environment and that is why we have chosen to lead by example. Deep Lake Water Cooling not only makes environmental sense but it also makes good business sense".

These sentiments were echoed by John Sullivan, Senior Vice President, Development, The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited. Mr. Sullivan says, "Cadillac Fairview is so convinced of the financial and environmental benefits of Enwave's Deep Lake Water Cooling, that we immediately redesigned our Bay/Dundas development to take Enwave's cooling once we learned that the system was expanding north of Queen Street. We look forward to doing our part to mitigate the strain on Ontario's electricity grid once the building becomes operational".

"It's every citizen's responsibility to conserve our depleting energy resources," says Dennis Fotinos, President and CEO of Enwave. "Today, all citizens of this province should be thanking good corporations like the ones connected to the Deep Lake Water Cooling system for making it easier for the rest of us to do our part."

Corporation's that are connected to Deep Lake Water Cooling include the Cadillac Fairview's TD Centre, Oxford Properties Group's Royal Bank Plaza, One University Avenue, 123 Front Street West, Northam Realty Advisor's 151 Front Street West, the Air Canada Centre, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the Steam Whistle Brewery and the Queen's Park Complex and Legislature Buildings.
