EnWave Files nutraREV Equipment and Methodology Patent for Food Dehydration

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 18, 2007) - EnWave Corporation (TSX VENTURE:ENW)(FRANKFURT:E4U) ("EnWave" or "the Company") wishes to report that Dr. Tim Durance has filed a US patent application on behalf of EnWave to protect the Company's proprietary equipment and processes for the large-scale dehydration of food. This patent application, which the Company expects to be evaluated by US patent examiners within the next eighteen months, represents further intellectual property development of the Company's nutraREV technology. This is the second patent application filed directly by the Company and, if successful, to be owned outright by EnWave. Previous nutraREV patents are owned by the University of British Columbia and exclusively licensed to EnWave.

This automated prototype nutraREV equipment has been tested successfully in EnWave's own facilities, and the Company expects to begin testing this equipment in a commercial food facility within the next three months. The goal of the testing project is to prove that nutraREV-processed food products can be produced economically in a commercial food dehydration facility at a production rate of about 100 kg finished product per hour.

Dr. Tim Durance, Chairman and Co-CEO of EnWave, stated that, "EnWave has continued to work on the development of its food dehydration technology, and I am very excited to see the Company enter the testing phase of our first commercial-scale nutraREV machine. This marks a major step forward for EnWave in getting our first product to market."

About EnWave

Using proprietary technologies developed in conjunction with the University of British Columbia, EnWave is focused on the development of new methods of dehydrating biological materials using Radiant Energy Vacuum technology, under its bioREV and nutraREV brands. REV technology combines microwave energy transfer with pressure control to dehydrate and alter structures and drive chemical reactions, thereby creating unique product characteristics for both food products and medical applications that include dry vaccines.
