EPAL Organises the First Pallet Symposium in Spain


DUSSELDORF, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Mar 10, 2014) -  The European Pallet Association e. V. (EPAL) extends an invitation to the first pallet symposium in Spain on the 20th March 2014. The industry meeting at the World Trade Center in Barcelona from 09:00 to 16.30 hrs is aimed at logistics experts, pallet manufacturers and repair organisations, as well as users from trade and industry.

Expert lectures and discussions lie at the heart of the symposium. The event will be opened by Jaime Noguer, president of the Spanish EPAL National Committee CALIPAL. Further speakers include Carmen Diaz, department leader at the Ministerio de Agricultura, and Jordi Gené, director of the Catalonian Institute of Wood. The conference offers the opportunity for participants to inform themselves of the significance of EPAL Euro pallets to Spanish industry, as well as the current and future development of the world's largest open pallet exchange pool. Experts from industry, politics, trade and logistics will be reporting on areas including the functionality of the Euro pallet exchange pool, the sustainability of the wooden cargo carrier, the independent quality controls and the possible modern applications of EPAL Euro pallets with RFID technology. "This first pallet users day is a meeting for the industry and an important milestone for the positioning of EPAL Euro pallets on the Spanish market. We look forward to keen participation and gripping discussions," enthuses Martin Leibrandt, Chief Executive Officer of EPAL.
