EPC Contract for Texas Project Brightens Outlook for Fluor's Power Business, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - Oct 3, 2011) - Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) (Austin, Texas) last month awarded Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) (Irving, Texas) the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 540-megawatt (MW) combined-cycle power plant to be built in Marble Falls, Texas. The LCRA project, named the Ferguson Replacement Project, carries a total investment value (TIV) of $625 million.
