Water Project of the Year was given to EPCOR for its work on a new mile-long pipeline that carries water from its White Tanks Water Treatment Plant to new homes and businesses in the company's Agua Fria district, located in greater Phoenix's West Valley. The $1.9 million project was completed in 2015.

EPCOR also received 17 Safety awards for treatment, distribution and collections systems in its Anthem (water and wastewater), Mohave (water), Chaparral (water), Paradise Valley (water), Sun City (water), and Tubac (water) districts and for five of its treatment facilities: the Shea Water Treatment Plant, Northwest Valley Water Reclamation Facility, Paradise Valley Arsenic Treatment Facility, Verrado Water Reclamation Facility and White Tanks Water Treatment Plant.

"We're honored to be recognized by Arizona's water-industry leaders for our achievements in safety and operational excellence," said Joe Gysel, president of EPCOR Water USA. "Our mission is to be a company whose employees go home to their families safely after work. These achievements recognize not only what we're doing for our colleagues, but also how we're positively impacting our neighbors and the customers we serve."
