EPOS Partners With Dane-Elec to Bring Wireless Digital Pen & USB Flash Drive Peripheral to U.S. Market in 2007

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 8, 2007 -- CES -- EPOS, a provider of advanced digital positioning technology, today announced that it has partnered with Dane-Elec Memory, manufacturer and distributor of DRAM and FLASH memory, to bring its Digital Pen and USB Flash Drive product to the U.S. consumer electronics market in 2007.

The Digital Pen and USB Flash Drive is a wireless digital pen with full flash memory functionality. The pen enables users to write and sketch on any paper or surface while the USB Flash Drive records all written data in real-time. Users can store hundreds of pages worth of handwritten data in the flash memory for later download to a PC or laptop. The product is ideal for taking notes in business meetings, saving sketches and diagrams in a classroom, or jotting down notes and ideas on the go. The Digital Pen and USB Flash Drive not only records handwritten data but can also carry images, videos and music -- making it the ideal next-generation storage device for users of any age.

Dane-Elec plans to launch the product under its own brand name in early Q2 of 2007. Consumers will find it at leading retailers and office supply stores nationwide at a suggested retail price of $79.99.

"By integrating EPOS digital positioning technology with Dane-Elec Flash Memory, we are able to bring users an entirely new kind of USB Flash Drive product," said Michel Hassan, General Manager at Dane-Elec USA. "EPOS technology is ideal for Dane-Elec as it is wireless, low in battery consumption and, a natural progression into the next generation of flash memory products."

"We are very proud to be able to bring this product to market with such a major player in the flash industry," said Oded Turbahn, CEO at EPOS. "Partnering with Dane-Elec enables EPOS to bring its positioning technology into the lives of the mass market by way of a next-generation input device. That is undoubtedly what we set out to do."

EPOS advanced digital positioning technology is based on the transmission of ultrasonic acoustic waves between two or more devices via a Transmitter and a Receiver. The Transmitter, embedded in a device such as a pen or other wireless terminal sends constant acoustic signals to the Receiver that in turn, uses them to measure the distance and position of the device(s). The Transmitter sends a unique ultrasonic "whistle" to the Receiver, constantly informing it of its position. Therefore, one always knows the position of the other.

Due to its versatility, miniature size, and mass market pricing, EPOS advanced digital positioning technology can add value to numerous products within a wide range of fields and industries. Such markets include Touch-Screens, Interactive Whiteboards, Wireless Gaming Peripherals, Lasik Surgery, Robotics, Medical, Media, Home Appliances, and more.

EPOS will also demonstrate the latest version of its Wireless Digital Pen and Mouse product at CES at the Prima Suite of the Venetian Hotel. To set up an executive meeting or product demonstration please contact Chani Garb at Switch180 PR at 917-407-9821 or Chani@Switch180PR.com.
