ePrize Announces Real-Time, Location-Based Passbook Capabilities for Brands

Gives 1.5 Million Consumers the Ability to Save and Access Offers, Loyalty Programs, Coupons, Digital Prizes and Gift Codes in Passbook for Immediate Use in Stores

PLEASANT RIDGE, MI--(Marketwire - Oct 17, 2012) - ePrize, the global leader in digital engagement, today announced Passbook capabilities for brands looking to leverage the latest iOS 6 mobile commerce feature to better connect with consumers and drive sales. More than 1.5 million opted in consumers from ePrize's clients can use this immediately.

With ePrize's Passbook capabilities, brands can integrate gift codes, coupons and digital prizes earned via loyalty programs, mobile CRM programs and chance to win campaigns, and allow consumers to store these in Passbook. Brands can also create location-based and timed alerts so offers can appear when a consumer is physically at the point of redemption or when the offer is about to expire.

The Passbook functionality includes the ability for brands to deliver geo-targeted offers and coupons via SMS to a mobile landing page, where consumers can save it to Passbook and be notified of which offers are in their immediate area.

"Imagine a consumer walking by their local coffee house and getting a notification that their free coffee offer will expire soon and that they can now change that offer to a free cappuccino today?" said Sagar Parvataneni, SVP of Technology at ePrize. "Passbook is simply the best way to ensure that your coupons and offers get into the hands of as many mobile users as possible. It also allows brands to get their feet wet with the technology that Apple will certainly use to roll out a mobile payment solution on the iPhone in the near future."

"Passbook has been one of the most talked about changes in iOS 6, and marketers have a huge opportunity to better target their consumers via mobile. ePrize is focused on making the consumer's mobile engagement more enjoyable and integrated with a brand's overall experience," said David Wachs, SVP Mobile at ePrize. "The combination of location and expiration of deals and coupons on Passbook offer retailers and online merchants endless opportunities. ePrize is helping to power this next innovation in marketing."
