eProject Announces Manager of the Year Award Winner

Names Carrie Massine of Petters Group at eProject User Conference

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 26, 2006 -- eProject, the On-Demand leader of collaborative Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) software, today announced that Carrie Massine, manager of Petters Group Project Office, Petters Group (http://www.pettersgroup.com/en/default.html), has won the eProject Manager of the Year award. Massine was selected from a global group of nominees, all users of eProject PPM6 collaborative project and portfolio management software platform. The award was announced at the eProject 2006 User Conference (http://www.eproject.com/conference/index.html) October 26-27 in Seattle.

Massine won the award based on her creative use of PPM6 -- her business program for "Streetwize Project Management" emphasizes practical just-in-time training linked to capabilities within PPM6, and eschews the typically heavy methodology training sometimes called for in traditional project management programs.

Moreover, Massine's focus on "covert project managers" -- identifying people within Petters Group that might work in finance or marketing or HR, and not really think of themselves as "project managers" -- became a key in getting buy-in and realizing the full benefit for the PPM6 deployment at Petters Group. Using PPM6, the Petters Group was able to foster improved collaboration among teams, while becoming a critical component for driving success at the company.

By driving adoption of PPM6 through her covert "project managers," Carrie's team delivered on more than 50 projects during a seven-month period.

"The strategic importance of enabling managers to automate workload, resources and capacity planning for all projects, coupled with the ability of business users both inside and outside the organizations to easily collaborate on those projects, continues to grow as a key factor driving business success," said Christian Smith, vice president of sales and marketing, eProject. "Carrie's work inside the Petters Group is a great example of that," continued Smith.

eProject recently announced PMexpress, the latest addition to eProject Collaborative Project and Portfolio Management (PPM), an expanding suite of easy-to-use on-demand software. The suite is based on subscription-based software-as-a-service model (SaaS), which allows small and midsize businesses to take advantage of powerful enterprise-class software with the added benefits of a solution that is cost-effective and simple-to-use.
