eQuest to Establish New Employment Index to Track Recruitment Trends

SAN RAMON, CA and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 3, 2011) - eQuest today announced the creation of a new Employment Index which will provide companies a monthly analysis of job posting trends and how effective online advertisements are performing based on candidate responses to those ads. Called the eQuest Employment Index, eQuest will review thousands of opportunities gathered from its corporate customer base, index the responses by job classification and location and will provide a synopsis of online recruitment activity.

The eQuest Employment Index will also report on the spending patterns of the Fortune 500 including job posting volumes based on activity over the prior month. The index derives its findings through algorithms based on the supply and demand of open positions posted to responding candidates. A target index of 100 reflects balance in the number of applicants vying for each open position posted. The data to create the index includes thousands of monthly job posting transactions. Reporting includes analysis by industry using the governments Standard Occupational Codes (SOC) in major metros and states and over 950 job classifications.

"Our breadth and depth of reach as the market leader in job posting distribution allows us a unique and superior perspective into the changing recruitment environment," said Sean Luitjens, VP of Business Development. "Coupled with our vast amount of global data, eQuest can provide this view into the current hiring supply and demand trends."

eQuest is the leading international job distributor for the Fortune 500 and the majority of the world's Applicant Tracking Systems, CRMs and ERPs.

The eQuest Employment Index will begin on March 1, 2011.
