e.Republic Announces Paul W. Taylor as Chief Content Officer


SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - January 18, 2010) - e.Republic,Inc., a national media company focused on the $2.8 trillion dollar state and local government and education markets, has named Paul W. Taylor, Ph.D., as Chief Content Officer. In the newly-created position, Taylor works with e.Republic's editorial, research and conference staff to identify issues vital to public service and coordinate the combined resources of Government Technology, GOVERNING, Emergency Management, Public CIO, and the Centers for Digital Government and Education to ensure relevant, valuable and useable content is comprehensively developed and delivered to e.Republic's audience.

As Chief Content Officer, Taylor will also work with universities, think tanks and foundations to develop partnerships and collaborative content initiatives to bring the best and most timely research and analysis to e.Republic's audience of executives on the front lines of managing modern public sector organizations.

Taylor will also be responsible for research and developement for new technology platforms such as smart phones and ereaders for distribution of e.Republic content.

Additionally, Taylor will serve as Editor-at-Large for e.Republic's recently acquired GOVERNING magazine.

Taylor previously held the position of Chief Strategy Officer for e.Republic's Center for Digital Government where he headed its efforts in benchmarking and analysis of information technology policies and practices in state and local government.

Prior to joining the Center, Taylor served as deputy director of the Washington State Department of Information Services (DIS) and Chief of Staff of the Information Services Board (ISB). He came to public service following decades of work in media, multimedia and Internet start-ups, and academia. He is also among a number of affiliated experts with the non-profit, non-partisan Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) in Washington, D.C.
