e.Republic's Center for Digital Education Names Dr. Kari Kelso as Senior Analyst


SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - February 10, 2011) - e.Republic's Center for Digital Education (Center) has announced that Dr. Kari Kelso has joined the Center as a Senior Analyst and Lead Writer for the Center's Converge Special Reports. She will be responsible for the research and content of the Center's publications in the area of technology and education.

Dr. Kelso's expertise is in K-12 education curriculum, instruction, policy and state mandated testing. She's managed the research and assessment departments at two large urban school districts and one rural one. At all three districts she oversaw all aspects of state mandated testing and curriculum benchmarks and served as the lead writer for various program and grant evaluations. She's also taught at three universities and has had peer reviewed papers at the California Educational Research Association, National Communication Association, and International Fluency Association, among others. Her writing has garnered several top awards and she has served as a writing consultant for graduate students and authors.

Fellowships include the Judicial Administration Fellowship from the Center for California Studies, Senior Fellow for the Center for Digital Education and participating as a Cooperative Systems Fellow for the National Center for Education Statistics.

Dr. Kelso earned her doctorate at the University of Texas.
