ERF Wireless Expansionary Oil and Gas Strategy Finds Itself in the Midst of a Domestic North American Oil & Gas Boom

Energy Broadband Constructing a Major Wireless Network for Oil and Gas Customers to Use Its Wireless Broadband Product

LEAGUE CITY, TX--(Marketwire - February 28, 2011) - ERF Wireless (OTCBB: ERFW), a leading provider of enterprise-class wireless and broadband products and services, announced today that the company's Energy Broadband subsidiary continues to experience a significant increase in customer requests for wireless broadband service from its oil and gas customers as part of the steady increase in North American oil and gas exploration, drilling, and production. This increased business activity has already resulted in a significant month-over-month Energy Broadband revenue increase which is expected to continue as the need for more and more broadband in support of oil and gas activity in North America continues to mushroom on a monthly basis. As a result, Energy Broadband, as previously announced, has already begun increasing its capabilities through its new Odessa, Texas, office and has initiated construction of a major wireless network covering the western part of the Eagle Ford Shale region of Texas. In addition, Energy Broadband is increasing its wireless coverage in the Texas panhandle and western Oklahoma, is planning new networks in North Dakota and is already starting to add more support personnel to its workforce and equipment to its existing fleet of trucks and Mobile Broadband Towers (MBTs). It is also anticipated that Energy Broadband, in conjunction with ERF Wireless, will open additional field offices in other oil and gas regions in order to better serve its expanding customer base.

Dr. H. Dean Cubley, CEO of ERF Wireless, commented, "ERF Wireless is well positioned to have a significant role in helping to develop these new natural resources in the North American oil and gas marketplace with the recent increase in the capital liquidity of the company. I'm very pleased to report to our shareholders that ERF Wireless, through our Energy Broadband subsidiary, has positioned itself in the right industry at the right time and with the ideal product to fit the customer needs. North American oil and gas activities, along with their need for broadband connectivity, are reaching unprecedented levels and the potential we have long seen in our oil and gas business is now becoming a reality."
