Ergogrip Receives Support From Government of Canada to Commercialize Its Products Abroad

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 18, 2011) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the firm Ergogrip will receive financial assistance from the Government of Canada to market its products in Latin America.

"The Government of Canada is committed to helping innovative enterprises develop and grow. For Ergogrip, gaining a foothold in export markets means pursuing its development and contributing to the economic success of the Montréal region," said Minister Lebel.

The firm plans to commercialize, in Mexico, Columbia and Chile, its broad range of dishware and ergonomic meal service equipment along with three new products it has developed, namely a meal distribution system for penal institutions, tableware for children and a bi-temperature food service cart.

Since its foundation, Ergogrip has always insisted on developing innovative and efficient products that serve a dual purpose: to make life easier for people of all ages with reduced dexterity or mobility as well as for meal service personnel in hospitals, health care facilities and seniors' residences.

The repayable contribution of $75,000 has been granted through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program, which includes a component to promote enterprises' competitiveness by helping them improve, among others, their market development capabilities. Ergogrip will use this funding to hire a representative in each of the three countries, advertise and develop promotional material tailored to the target markets.
