Eric H. Molson Awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Concordia University

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 24, 2006) - All 3500 Molson employees congratulate Mr. Eric H. Molson, Chairman of the Molson Coors Brewing Company, for his honorary doctorate awarded by Concordia University's John Molson School of Business at its fall graduation ceremony which took place on November 20. Mr. Molson received this high distinction in recognition of having devoted his entire career to Canadian business, as well as for his outstanding personal commitment, his generosity toward Concordia and his numerous philanthropic activities which have made him a true leader and philanthropist.

In paying tribute to Mr. Molson on receipt of his honorary doctorate, Concordia President Claude Lajeunesse stated: "In the next few months, a stunning new home for our business school is going to be rising in the heart of downtown Montreal, thanks to another $10 million donation from Eric Molson. The Molson family will always be a treasured part of the Concordia story."

As a businessman, Mr. Molson has often been praised for his generosity and altruism. Kevin Boyce, President and Chief Executive Officer of Molson, added: "Eric, throughout his life, has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the community and remains loyal to the philanthropic vision of John Molson who founded the brewery in 1786. As a result Molson continues to be a leader in the Canadian brewing industry and continues to live the Molson time-honoured philosophy of giving back to the community."

Biography of Mr. Eric H. Molson

Born and raised in Montreal, Eric H. Molson has been an active member of the community throughout his lifetime. In addition to serving as Chancellor of Concordia University from 1993 to 2005, Mr. Molson is a Director of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and Corporation, the Canadian Irish Studies Foundation and Vie des Arts magazine.

A Master Brewer, Mr. Molson is currently Chairman of the Board of Molson Coors Brewing Company, and has been working for the Molson brewery since 1959. He has also served the Bank of Montreal as a member of its Board of Directors from 1987 to 2000.

Eric H. Molson holds a BA in Chemistry from Princeton University and a Master Brewers Certificate from the United States Brewers Academy.

Mr. Molson is married with three sons and seven grandchildren, six of whom live in Montreal.
