Erwin Penland Accepting Thought Leader Scholarship Applications to Experience Food For Thought

Application Deadline Is March 1

GREENVILLE, SC--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2014) -  Full-service marketing agency Erwin Penland today announced the opening of the thought leader scholarship application process for Food For Thought, the agency's seventh annual creativity and inspiration conference. Because great ideas know no socioeconomic boundaries, Erwin Penland will offer as many as 10 full scholarships, providing access to a diverse pool of attendees.

"Since its inception, the core pillars of Food For Thought have been about inspiring creativity and sharing great ideas," said event founder Joe Erwin, President of Erwin Penland. "With such an intimate gathering, we strive to bring together the most diverse group of presenters and participants to help spark the conversation and creativity of the brilliant minds present."

The event, which will take place in Greenville, South Carolina from April 29 - May 1, is limited to approximately 100 guests in order to maintain an unparalleled level of intimacy. Food For Thought organizers offer thought leader scholarships to allow budding entrepreneurs, educators, non-profit workers, students and public servants the opportunity to participate without paying the $1,575 registration fee or travel costs.

This scholarship program allows recipients to participate alongside senior level marketers, entrepreneurs and other accomplished professionals, and take the three days of pure inspiration back to their organizations. Scholarship candidates should apply at by March 1. Those selected will be notified with ample time to coordinate travel plans with Food For Thought organizers.

The agenda for this year's Food For Thought contains a variety of sessions designed to impact how attendees view their work, the world and even themselves, including:

  • A conversation with Adam Garone, CEO & Co-Founder of Movember, the global charity aimed at improving men's health, one mustache at a time.
  • Insights into the journey from incarcerated gang members to successful entrepreneurs with Catherine Hoke, the visionary behind NYC-based entrepreneurship program Defy Ventures
  • An afternoon of high-revving driving action at the BMW Performance Center.
  • The incredible story of Dan Pallotta, the inventor of the multi-day AIDSRides and Breast Cancer 3-Days who pioneered the civic engagement movement and leads Advertising for Humanity.
  • The best food you ever had at a conference, including an intimate dinner with Donald Link, award-winning chef/owner of the acclaimed Cochon restaurant in New Orleans.
