Escape from Escorted Temporary Absence


DUCK LAKE, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - Dec. 19, 2014) - Correctional Service Canada

On December 19, 2014, at about 1:15 p.m., Willow Cree Healing Lodge, a minimum security federal facility, was notified that Allan Roderick Wright escaped during an escorted temporary absence in North Battleford, Saskatchewan area.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the North Battleford Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Allan Wright is 35 years old, measures 188 cm (6'2") in height and weighs 116 kg (256 lbs). He has a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He is currently serving a sentence of three years, five months for assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement and break and enter.

CSC will investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and is working with police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all information available to help arrest the inmate.
