Escape From Federal Training Center


LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 8, 2011) - On November 8, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the Federal Training Centre, a minimum-security federal institution, was notified that inmate Stéphane Bourbeau escaped during a perimeter work clearance in Laval.

The police have been notified and the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) will continue to work with them in an effort to locate the offender as quickly as possible. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Stéphane Bourbeau is asked to contact police.

Stéphane Bourbeau, 32, is described as 1 m 73 in height, his weight is 69 Kg (152 lbs), he has hazel eyes and brown hair. He is currently serving a life sentence for second degree murder.

CSC will review the circumstances surrounding the incident and will take necessary measures to address any safety and security issues resulting from this incident.
