Escape from Federal Training Centre (Minimum Security Unit)


LAVAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - July 29, 2014) - Correctional Service Canada

On July 29, 2014 during the 5 a.m. count, staff members at the Federal Training Centre, a multi-level and minimum security federal institution, discovered that Robert Gaudette was not accounted for in the Minimum Security Unit. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the RCMP, the Sûreté du Québec and the Laval police and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Robert Gaudette is 55 years old, measures 180 cm (5'11") in height and weighs 86 kg (189 lbs). He has a fair complexion, green eyes and light brown hair. He has a surgical scar on the abdomen. He is currently serving an indeterminate sentence for 2nd degree murder.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Robert Gaudette is asked to contact police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
