Escape from Montee St-Francois Institution


LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 4, 2012) - On October 3, 2012, at approximately 10:45 p.m., during a headcount, personnel at Montée St-François Institution, a minimum security federal institution located in Laval, discovered that inmate Philippe Pelletier had escaped.

Philippe Pelletier, 32 years old, is described as 178 cm in height, his weight is 72 kg (159 lb). He has brown eyes, brown hair, a sun tattoo on his back, a surgical scar on his abdomen and a scar on his left eyebrow. He is serving a six-year sentence since November 17, 2010 for Theft, Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence, Possession of a Weapon and Disguise with Intent.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Philippe Pelletier is asked to contact police.

CSC and Montée St-François Institution will be conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working with the Sûreté du Québec and Laval Police to locate this offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all available information to assist in the inmate's apprehension.
