ESI Announces Results for AGM

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 14, 2006) - E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI", the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ESV) is pleased to announce the following directors were elected at its Annual and Special General meeting held on December 14, 2006: Robert Alton (Chair), Peter Berrang, Blair Heffelfinger, Edwin Mitchell and Matthew Watson. ESI is also pleased to announce that Matthew Watson has been appointed President and CEO. "Matthew has a remarkable record of successfully commercializing emerging technologies and profitably growing early stage companies. We are overjoyed to have him join ESI," stated Board Chair, Robert Alton. Matthew was most recently COO of Carmanah Technologies Corp. (TSX:CMH) where he was responsible for all of the company's operations, including sales and marketing. Matthew joined Carmanah in 2003 after a year in which it had $6 million in revenues. Carmanah's 2006 year to date revenue is in excess of $48 million. ACD Systems Ltd. had a similar growth pattern during Matthew's tenure as Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs from 2000 to 2003. ESI's former President and CEO, Gail Gabel, will remain with the Company as Executive Vice President.
