ESI Announces the Appointment of Bernard Beauchesne as CFO

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 25, 2008) - E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI", the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ESV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernard Beauchesne as Chief Financial Officer.

Bernard brings eight years of public company management experience to ESI, having served as an executive officer of Diversified Industries Ltd. ("DVS"), a TSX Venture Exchange issuer with a focus on new product development in the area of oilfield chemicals. During his time with DVS, Bernard held for various lengthy periods, the office of President, Chief Financial Officer, and Corporate Secretary while also serving as a Director for five years. While at DVS, given the early development stage of the company, Bernard's duties were varied and all encompassing, ranging from business development, human resources, investor relations, accounting, strategic planning, and outside financing: managing all aspects of closing more than six million dollars in private placements.

During 2007, as CFO of DVS, Bernard played an integral role in the completion of a major transaction for DVS that saw the company acquire 50% of a private Alberta-based oilfield chemical distribution company, CFR Chemicals Inc. This transaction brought a considerable increase in value to the shareholders of DVS, which now boasts record revenues and earnings. However, the closing of this transaction resulted in DVS moving its head office from Sidney, BC to Red Deer, Alberta. Bernard chose to stay here on Vancouver Island and, thus, was looking for an opportunity to build on his experience with a local public company poised for growth.

Prior to his role with DVS, Bernard was a product marketing manager for a national insurance company. His education includes a BA (English) from UBC, a Commerce Diploma from Malaspina University College and a Post Diploma in Business Administration from BCIT.

Recognizing the impact Bernard can have in many areas of the company, the Board of ESI is excited to add Bernard as CFO. The Board continues to fulfill its objective of building a dynamic team in order to exploit ESI's innovative, leading edge, sensor technology.
