Digital Security & Cyber Terrorism Expert to Lead Breakthrough Artificial Intelligence Company

COSTA MESA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 6, 2006 -- Espion International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: EPLJ), developer of a breakthrough Artificial Intelligence technology proven to block over 99.8% of spam, email viruses, and hacking threats, today announced that Geoffrey Clayton Shively will assume the role of chief executive officer (CEO), effective today, replacing Stephen Dow, who is retiring from the company.

Mr. Shively has extensive experience in technology innovation and corporate leadership positions. Geoff is a former University of California instructor who published numerous technical white papers on Network Security, Cyber Crime, Cyber Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Hacker Psychology. In 1999, Mr. Shively co-founded PivX Solutions, an award-winning digital security company which he helped expand to 48 employees around the world with offices in Newport Beach, Seattle, Frankfurt, and London. With Mr. Shively's team building skills and PivX's global footprint he was able to attract some of the brightest minds in their field. Through Mr. Shively's leadership he was able to win contracts from clients: Boeing, Microsoft, GMAC, Sony, CACI and FOX. In 2003, Mr. Shively was selected to Co-Chair a Task Force for the Department of Homeland Security, and co-authored the Task Force's 120-page report, which was presented to DHS Secretary Tom Ridge and President Bush in April of 2004. Mr. Shively works with numerous charities including The AmberWatch Foundation which helps prevent child abduction and molestation through their "Be Safe" school program throughout the United States. Mr. Shively has most recently provided consulting services for Apple Computer and Mozilla where he evaluated and addressed security issues for iTunes, iPod, QuickTime, Safari, OSX, and Firefox.
