Esterline Introduces Recently Acquired Display Products

The Company Acquired the Aerospace, Defense, and Training Solutions From Barco in February and Now Markets Them Under the CODIS(R) and TREALITY(R) Brand Names

BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwired - Jun 14, 2015) - Esterline Corporation (NYSE: ESL) (www.esterline.com), a leading specialty manufacturer serving the global aerospace and defense markets, is pleased to formally introduce its CODIS® and TREALITY® display technologies for use in the commercial aerospace, defense, and training markets. The products, acquired from Barco N.V. earlier this year, include: Codis rugged military displays, air traffic control displays and operator consoles; CMC smart displays, modules, control assemblies, and avionics software and application services; and Treality simulation visual systems.

All of the formerly Barco products will exist within Esterline's Avionics & Controls business segment. The Codis defense and air traffic control display products are being integrated into Esterline's Control & Communication Systems business group. Meanwhile, Esterline's Avionics Systems business group will feature new CMC avionics displays as well as the Treality simulation equipment for virtual training applications.

Esterline CEO Curtis Reusser said, "The addition of these products puts Esterline on the cutting edge of display technology with high performance visual and interface capabilities to help pilots, air traffic controllers, trainers, and service members do their jobs better."

The acquisition of the formerly Barco display products offers Esterline the ability to strategically focus on core growth areas in the business, achieving superior design, engineering, and manufacturing of industry-leading aerospace and defense technologies. Esterline will be showcasing all of its innovative brands together, including the new Codis and Treality additions, at the Paris Air Show in Hall 5, Booth C250.
