Esurance ICER AIR, San Francisco's Urban Big Air Ski and Snowboard Competition, Airs One-Hour Feature Show on Fox Sports Network

Behind-the-Scenes Footage and Event Highlights of the Stadium Big Air Competition to Air Nationally on December 8th

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - December 3, 2007) - ICER is pleased to announce the national air date of a one-hour feature presentation, "The ICER AIR Urban Big Air Invitational," on Fox Sports Network (FSN) this Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007.

Viewers will be given a backstage pass to all the highlights from this year's event, such as jump construction, interviews with athletes, including winning athletes Jon Olsson and Travis Rice, coverage of skate, BMX and freestyle motocross sessions, as well as the parties and behind-the-scenes antics. The one-hour special will touch upon the history behind ICER AIR and its unforgettable start in 2005 when 15,000 people gathered on one of San Francisco's steepest streets to witness history being made. The program will be hosted by Esurance ICER AIR emcees Luke Van Valin and Keir Dillon.

"'The ICER AIR Urban Big Air Invitational' on FSN will give viewers a true sense of Esurance ICER AIR, from everything that went on behind the scenes, skate, BMX and freestyle motocross, to the big-air competition and a fantastic performance from Talib Kweli and Mos Def," said ICER AIR creator Glen Griffin. "Rather than develop a straight-up highlight show, we wanted to produce something that was fun, creative and most importantly, gives viewers a complete picture of the entire weekend and days leading up to the main event. Essentially, the show is about everything that goes into this event to make it as successful and crazy as it is."

Esurance ICER AIR, which features the only big air ski and snowboard stadium jump in the United States, drew twenty-eight of the world's greatest skiers and snowboarders and over 30,000 spectators November 2 and 3 for a thrilling action sports, music and lifestyle event on a bluebird San Francisco weekend. Olympic and X Games champions competed on a 110-foot high jump covered with over 200 tons of snow that extended from the top of AT&T Park's scoreboard to second base. Skiers and snowboarders wowed the crowds with gravity-defying aerial maneuvers against the backdrop of the Bay Bridge and San Francisco skyline. The event ended with high-energy performances by Mos Def and Talib Kweli.

The idea of skiing San Francisco became a reality two years ago. On September 29, 2005, 15,000 people watched history being made as ICER AIR took to one of the city's steepest streets for the first-ever urban big air ski and snowboard competition. Realizing the potential for this type of event and always wanting to push the limits of creativity, ICER AIR creator Glen Griffin moved the jump to AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, and turned Esurance ICER AIR into an action sports, music, and lifestyle experience. Featuring the first big-air stadium ski and snowboard competition in the United States, the Esurance ICER AIR competition is considered by the world's most talented skiers and snowboarders a world-class event and the official kick-off to the winter competition series. Other features include: freestyle motocross, skate, BMX and a concert series. ICER AIR intends to grow into other cities and will announce its future plans soon.
