ET Water Systems Becomes U.S. EPA WaterSense Partner

Industry Leader Demonstrates Continued Commitment to Promoting Water Efficiency

NOVATO, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 20, 2011) - ET Water Systems, Inc., the leader in smart irrigation control and water management solutions, today announced its partnership with EPA WaterSense, and now proudly bears the WaterSense Partner logo. EPA WaterSense is a partnership between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and irrigation professionals to promote water-efficiency across the country. When the WaterSense parameters expanded last month to include weather-based irrigation controllers, ET Water was among the first to become a WaterSense Partner in this newly defined category.

"We are pleased to collaborate with the EPA in this vital national program," commented Pat McIntyre, CEO of ET Water Systems, Inc. "It is time for irrigation industry professionals to step up and take a stand for water conservation on a national level, and the fact that the federal government has assumed responsibility for forging this partnership is a step in the right direction. Collectively, we can make a huge difference, addressing our nation's water crisis with innovative products and services while continuing to educate the public on the numerous measures we can all take to conserve water."

According to the EPA, outdoor water use in the United States accounts for more than 7 billion gallons of water daily, mainly for landscape irrigation, and it is estimated that as much as half of this water is wasted. To give property owners and landscapers the tools to solve this problem, ET Water has developed an innovative water management system that combines weather-based smart irrigation controllers with state-of-the-art horticultural science and a proprietary software management program. This fully-integrated system, called the ET Water Manager, consistently achieves 20-50% or more water reduction in residential and commercial landscape irrigation settings versus conventional controllers.

"As a technology and software-as-a-solution leader in the fields of smart water irrigation and water conservation, it is imperative that we demonstrate our dedication to creating products and systems that continue to evolve in order to meet changing standards and needs," commented Mark Puckett, Product Manager of Web Solutions, ET Water Systems, Inc. "Our products were the first to be SWAT (Smart Water Application Technology) certified and are currently undergoing the rigorous WaterSense third-party certification process, which opened to weather-base irrigation controllers just last month," he continued. "Bearing the EPA WaterSense Partnership logo is an important benchmark for us, because it is a symbol of our commitment to innovative solutions in water efficiency and conservation."
