eTail West Event to Discuss Opportunities in Private Event Retailing

Hosted by eCommerce Solution Provider, Optaros, Invitation-Only Event Will Share Insights and Best Practices on the Successful Flash-Sales Model

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - February 24, 2011) - Optaros, an eCommerce solution provider, will present "How to Make Private Event Retailing and Flash Sales Drive Revenue for You," on Thursday, Feb. 24. This invitation-only executive forum and private lunch is a part of the eTail West conference, taking place February 22-25 in Palm Desert, Calif.

"How to Make Private Event Retailing and Flash Sales Drive Revenue for You," will be led by Optaros' John Eckman, senior director of commerce strategy, and Errol Apostolopoulos, senior director of commerce innovations. They will discuss the key features of successful private-sales sites, and help eCommerce executives understand how they can be applied in different retail models.

In addition, the event will feature guest speaker John Mulliken, vice president of strategic initiatives at CSN Stores, parent company of private-sales site, Joss & Main. Mulliken will share personal insights and strategies that have helped Joss & Main find early success, soon after its launch.

"Many retailers are interested in integrating some type of flash-sales, members-only or private-event element into their eCommerce mix, but they're not sure what approach is best for their brand," said Eckman. "We're looking forward to speaking with retail executives in an intimate environment, where we'll candidly discuss issues such as challenges for big-box retailers, how to integrate physical store locations with new retail concepts, and how to stay innovative in an increasingly crowded space."
