Eternal World Television Network (EWTN) offered free of charge for all Cogeco Cable digital subscribers in Ontario

MONTREAL, April 4 - As a gesture of respect to mark the
passing of Pope John Paul II and to offer more coverage of the upcoming
selection process of the new Pope, Cogeco Cable announced today that all
Cogeco Cable digital subscribers in Ontario will be able to view the Catholic
television network, Eternal World Television Network (Channel 184), free of

"We felt that this network would be of interest to many of our customers
during these important historical events, which may last several weeks," said
Ron Perrotta, Vice President, Sales and Marketing. "Therefore, EWTN will be
unscrambled for all of our Ontario digital subscribers until the conclave of
cardinals has elected a successor to Pope John Paul II."


Cogeco Cable is the second largest cable operator in both Ontario and
Québec, and ranks fourth in Canada in terms of the number of basic service
customers it serves. Cogeco Cable provides about 1,319,000 revenue-generating
units to about 1,430,000 households passed within its service territory.
Through its two-way broadband cable infrastructure, Cogeco Cable provides its
residential and commercial customers with analog and digital video and audio
services, as well as high-speed Internet access. Cogeco Cable's subordinate
voting shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (CCA.SV).
