Eternal Youth and Vitality for You and Your Pet?-Yes, and It's Closer Than You Think

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 18, 2013) - Dr. Bill Andrews the president and CEO of Sierra Sciences, Nevada is coming to British Columbia to speak about telomeres and age regeneration.

Completely re-writing the inevitability of our current understanding of aging - wrinkled diminishing bodies, sickness, dementia, cancer, arthritis, and bed-ridden old-age homes, is Bill Andrews, a modern day Ponce de Leon meets Gregor Mendel who is a PHD molecular biologist with a mission: to cure aging or die trying.

Utilizing Nobel prize-winning science, he and his team are doing just that. Having worked in the biotech industry for 32 years, Dr. Andrews has focused the last 20 on finding ways to extend lifespan through the intervention of telomere shortening in human cells. The subject of an up-coming HBO documentary, his latest research is nothing short of extraordinary.

At the tips of every chromosome in the human body is a biological "clock" called the "telomere." When a cell divides, its telomeres get shorter as a normal part of cell division. However, a lifetime of division eventually leads to telomere shortening and is a primary cause of many age-related diseases, including heart disease, arthritis, and cancer.

The enzyme telomerase has been shown to re-lengthen telomeres. Telomerase cannot be added to cells directly, but there is a gene for producing telomerase in every cell of the body. This gene is active in reproductive cells, but in most cells it is turned off. Sierra Sciences has identified 39 chemical families that induce the telomerase gene. Based on those discoveries, Dr. Andrews has designed 10 unique, chemicals that can turn it back on, and is a named inventor on more than 45 US.-issued telomerase patents. He and his team are now less than 3 years away from a clinical study for a powerful age-regenerating pharmaceutical.

And since cats, dogs and horses age as we do, they too will benefit from Dr. Andrew's research and patents. In fact, telomerase has been clinically demonstrated to make old animals young again, revolutionizing the aging process.

With a pending face cream that will actually exceed any cosmetic claim on the market today, a supplement, and a pet product we can all look forward to being new, revitalized and forever 24. Fluffy included.

Bill will be vising Vancouver. He is available for interviews on September 26.

About Dr. Bill Andrews, President & CEO

Dr. Andrews earned his Ph.D. in Molecular and Population Genetics at the University of Georgia in 1981. He was a Senior Scientist at Armos Corporation and Codon Corporation, Director of Molecular Biology at Codon and at Geron Corporation, and Director of Technology Development at EOS Biosciences. While Director of Molecular Biology at Geron Corporation from 1992 to 1997, Dr. Andrews was one of the principal discoverers of both the RNA and protein components of human telomerase and was awarded 2nd place as "National Inventor of the Year" in 1997 for this work. He is presently a named inventor on more than 60 US issued telomerase patents.

Dr. Andrews is an avid runner and enjoys participating in ultra-marathons in his spare time. His ultimate goal is to run a 7 minute mile at the age of 130.
