EthicsPoint Successfully Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - May 1, 2008) - EthicsPoint, Inc., a market leader in business process optimization for Issue, Event, and Loss Management, announced today that it has received SAS 70 Type II certification, an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Third-party auditor Plante & Moran, PLCC, performed the audit, which is an independent report on the design of EthicsPoint's business processes and procedures.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 requires that publicly held companies verify that certain of their service providers have adequate controls in place to protect the information housed with that third party. A SAS 70 Type II Service Auditor's Report provides this verification.

SAS 70 is the authoritative guidance that allows service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to their customers and their customers' auditors in a uniform reporting format. A SAS 70 examination demonstrates that an independent firm has reviewed and examined an organization's control objectives and activities. At the conclusion of a SAS 70 examination, a formal report, including the auditor's opinion, is issued to the organization.
