As Etisalat upgrades its infrastructure to an advanced FTTH network that will reach millions of homes and businesses in the UAE by 2011, VCAS™ for IPTV will secure Etisalat's TV service revenue streams.
Etisalat's TV service is part of eLife, Etisalat's flagship brand for fiber-optic based residential services that includes voice, broadband and Internet protocol television (IPTV), offered in attractive packages to customers across the UAE. It is estimated that by the end of 2011, thousands of customers will be enjoying Etisalat's next-generation TV and video service making it the largest IPTV operation in the Middle East.
The broader Etisalat Entertainment Network project creates a global syndication network for broadcasters and content owners, where they can publish their content once and trust that it will be protected and delivered securely to a very large customer base of telecom service providers in the region, including Etisalat's own subsidiaries.
