European Strategic Balanced Fund Files Preliminary Prospectus for Initial Public Offering


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 4, 2014) - European Strategic Balanced Fund (the "Fund") is pleased to announce that it has filed and received a receipt for its preliminary prospectus from the securities regulatory authority in each province and territory of Canada.

The Fund's investment objective is to seek attractive risk-adjusted total returns and lower volatility in European equities and fixed income securities by investing in three actively managed strategies. To achieve its investment objectives, the Fund will invest the net proceeds of the Offering in:

  1. an Equity Momentum Portfolio, utilizing price momentum strategies to provide short-term returns;
  2. an Equity Value Portfolio, utilizing value investment strategies to provide long-term capital appreciation; and
  3. a Fixed Income Portfolio, utilizing fixed income investment strategies to provide modest income, lower volatility and some potential downside protection.

These three strategies are well diversified and complementary and are expected to deliver stable and attractive risk-adjusted performance throughout Europe's market and business cycles.

Fiera Capital Corporation ("Fiera") and Landry Investment Management Inc. ("Landry") will act as the Investment Advisors to the Fund. Landry will act as the investment advisor for the Equity Momentum and Equity Value Portfolios and Fiera will act as the investment advisor for the Fixed Income Portfolio.

The Fund's manager will be Artemis Investment Management Limited ("Artemis"). Artemis is a Canadian-based investment manager that seeks to provide investors with the opportunity to achieve world-class portfolio allocation by facilitating efficient access to alternative investment opportunities.
