Eva's Initiatives Taste Matters Gala to Raise $150,000 for Homeless Youth

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 16, 2012) - Eva's Initiatives Taste Matters Gala evening is a one night sampling tour of some of the best Toronto has to offer. In its seventh year, this charity event has grown to include over 30 Ontario wineries, breweries, caterers and restaurants all gathered to raise funds for homeless and at-risk youth. The goal this year is to raise $150,000 to help provide safe shelter, training, counselling, and a wide range of programs and services to help Eva's youth aged 16-24 reach their potential to lead productive, self-sufficient and healthy lives beyond the shelter system.

Taste Matters participants include Fabbrica, the new Mark McEwan restaurant, and the Paintbox, an exciting new bistro that is part of the Regent Park revitalization project. There are a dozen Ontario wineries to sample and 5 local brews on tap, while participants take part in the live and silent auctions. On the block this year is a pair of floor seats to the sold out Justin Bieber concert on December 1st and tickets to Lady Gaga and Rihanna. For Raptors fans, there are tickets and exclusive access to the TD Securities platinum lounge available to the highest bidder, and amazing wines and more. TD is the Title Sponsor for the festivities.

Guests will have the opportunity to see Eva's youth in action, and taste the results of their food projects. Gala-goers may also purchase a framed photograph taken by a youth photographer. A portion of the photo purchase price goes to the photographer.

Join Eva's Initiatives for an epicurean adventure.
