Everton and Azimut Begin Ground Geophysics IP Survey Over the 1.7-km Long Gold Bearing Trend at Opinaca, James Bay, Quebec

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 4, 2006) - Everton Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EVR) and its partner Azimut Exploration Inc. are pleased to announce that a 35 line-kilometer induced polarization (I.P.) survey has begun on the 1.7-km long gold bearing trend discovered in fall 2005 on the Block-A of the Opinaca Project, in James Bay, Quebec. The Opinaca Project is adjacent to the Virginia's Eleonore gold discovery, recently acquired by Goldcorp Inc.

The survey is being conducted to follow-up the ENE-WSW-trending rock geochemical anomaly in gold over a strike of 1.7 kilometer, where selected samples returned values of up to 29.07 g/t Au and 50.9 g/t Au (press releases of Nov. 21, 2005 and Jan. 24, 2006). The I.P. survey will also be testing the lateral extensions of the gold bearing trend. The host rock consists of an altered paragneiss containing trace to 3% sulphides. Drilling is planned on the gold bearing trend this summer.

The I.P. survey is performed by TMC Geophysics of Val d'Or, Quebec, using a time-domain system and a 25-meter dipole-dipole array, N equals 1 to 6.

The Opinaca Project (blocks A, A-East, B and B-North) is comprised of 616 claims covering 321 km2. Everton can earn up to 65% interest in the project from Azimut. Everton is the operator.
