Everton Resources Inc.: Ground Geophysics Confirms 1.2 km I.P. Anomaly on Loma el Mate and Cuance Concessions - Drilling to Begin Next Week

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 20, 2005) - Everton Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EVR) and its partners GlobeStar Mining Corp. and Linear Gold Corp. are pleased to announce the completion of a 28-line kilometers induced polarization (I.P.) geophysical program over the Las Tres Bocas target situated within its Loma el Mate and Cuance concessions, in the Dominican Republic.

The program was conducted to follow-up a northwest-trending soil geochemical anomaly in copper and gold covering an area of 1.5 kilometer by 200 meters, and where selected float samples on Loma el Mate returned values up to 29.4 g/t Au (press release of June 7, 2005).

A total of 14 high-priority I.P. anomalies are present and distributed equally on each of the concessions. These anomalies constitute potential targets for semi-massive to massive metallic sulphide mineralization in the bedrock at relatively shallow depth, between 40 to 60 meters.

A 8 to 10 drill hole program totaling 950 meters is planned to begin next week. The drilling program will first test I.P. targets on the Cuance concession and then move to the Loma el Mate concession after.

The I.P. survey was carried out by TMC Geophysics of Val d'Or, Quebec, using a time-domain system and a 25-meter dipole-dipole array, N equals 1 to 6. The interpretation was done by Gerard Lambert Geosciences of St-Andre-Avellin, Quebec.

Everton has the option to earn up to 70-per-cent interest from GlobeStar Mining Corp. on the Cuance concession, and up to 50-per-cent interest from Linear Gold Corp. on the Loma el Mate concession. The two concessions are adjacent.

This press release has been prepared under the supervision of Marc L'Heureux, P.Geo., vice-president exploration of Everton Resources Inc., who is acting as the qualified person for the projects.

Everton is a well-financed junior company with gold and base metal properties in James Bay, Quebec, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.
