Everything Channel's CRN Magazine Recognizes Carolyn Crandall as a Power 100 Woman of the Channel

Riverbed Executive Also Receives Women of the Channel Recognition for Third Consecutive Year

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 3, 2011) - Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD), the IT performance company, today announced that Carolyn Crandall, vice president of worldwide marketing, has been recognized as a Power 100 Woman of the Channel by CRN Magazine. This list recognizes female executives for their accomplishments over the past year, based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. This year's Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN Magazine from a field of vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers.

Crandall is a technology industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience developing high-performance channels. At Riverbed®, Crandall leads the corporate marketing organization, and is responsible for setting the vision for how the company goes to market -- from branding and awareness to demand creation -- as well as driving the strategies for how the channel and alliance partner communities integrate into the Riverbed marketing mix. In the last year, Crandall helped grow market share for Riverbed and continued driving business sold through the channel.

"This year's Power 100 Women of the Channel list honors the most successful and influential women in the IT channel -- a traditionally male-centric industry. The Power 100 list is an elite subset of our annual Women of the Channel list, which recognizes the 100 most influential women of the channel based on their overall achievements, and their influence in the technology industry," said Kelley Damore, vice president, editorial director, Everything Channel.

"I am honored by CRN Magazine's recognition as one of the top Women of the Channel for the third year in a row, as well as to be part of the new Power 100 group," said Crandall. "Our channel-centric go-to-market approach provides performance solutions that help meet strategic IT initiatives that solve tough customer problems while providing significant opportunities and profitability for our channel partners. This is validated by Riverbed further growing its market share leadership in WAN optimization over the past year."

The Power 100 Women of the Channel is listed on CRN.com. The overall Women of the Channel list appeared in the July 2011 issue of CRN Magazine.

More than 13,000 organizations worldwide, across a wide range of markets, depend on Riverbed to understand, optimize and consolidate their IT infrastructure. Riverbed delivers hardware, software and virtualized solutions that overcome performance issues caused by distance, distributed computing, and ever increasing amounts of data. Virtualization, consolidation and cloud computing promise huge cost savings and improved efficiencies, but as users move farther from their data, slow applications and file transfers can stall these strategic initiatives. Riverbed delivers to the remote office and mobile workers the same "local area network (LAN)-like" performance, no matter where the private data center or public cloud may be. Riverbed continues building on its success in the wide area network WAN optimization, application-aware NPM and data protection markets with new and innovative solutions for accelerating cloud storage and access to applications and data deployed in public, private and hybrid clouds.
